I am one of the children born to Loki, the trickster and Angrboda, the giantess. Unfortunately, because of my mom, I inherited part of my looks that weren't so appealing. My body feels like it is half dead and half alive. While my face, neck, shoulders, breasts, arms, and back are all pink and is bearable to look at, from my hips down my body looks decayed and greenish-black. Eww I know, pretty disgusting. Unfortunately Odin was on a mission to capture Jormungand, Fenrir (my two siblings), and me. He hurled me out of Asgard, into the darkness of Niflheim, the world beneath the worlds. He told me that in the underworld, I would look after the dead, in all of the nine worlds who died of illness and old age, but on one condition and that I had to promise to share whatever food I had with whoever came down to me. Also I watched over the children and women who died in childbirth. However, I do not guide those soulds that choose the path of war and violence. Since I really had no choice but to live in the underworld, I made myself feel at home. I built huge walls around my estate, protecting my hall, Eljudnir, home of the dead. Niketennis

Hinduism
Hinduism is probably one of the few and maybe only religion that focuses their beliefs on the environmental ethics. Ramayan is one example of that, as well as many more, such as Mahabharta, Vedas, Puranas, and Smirti. These earliest stories contain messages for preservation of the environment. Hinduism has been around for probably billions of years. Some scholars say that it all might have started around c. 2000 B.C.E
Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, consisiting of about 940 million Hindus, mainly living in India.
In Hinduism relgions, they believe in dharma. Dharma means mortality, virtue, and even relgion. Dharma refers to the power that upholds the universe and society. It also refers to the person's responsibility of regarding class, which is called "Varna." There are four classes: Brahmans, Kshatriya, Vaishyas, and Shudras. Hindus also belief in karma, which means that every action has an equal reaction either at that time or later in life. They also belief in reincarnation which refers to rebirth after death. But just remember that if you have bad karma and do things against what dharma believes you might not go through the process of reincarnation.

Hero's Journey: Batman
Unlike other superheroes, Batman didn't inherit powers like Superman or get bit by a spider like Spiderman. Batman's undercover was Bruce Wayne, and American millionaire who of course had the charm and good looks of any superhero. When Batman was young, he witnessed the murder of his parents, and from then on was going to stop any crime in Gotham City. He decides to make his disguise a bat, to make any criminals fear him. In one version of the story, Batman is accompanied by his crime fighting partner, Robin and in the Batman movie is helped by his faithful butler Alfred, who helps him build the car. With Batman, he doesn't have any supernatural powers of his own, but instead uses his training and intellect. Not having any supernatural powers, but having money he builds expensive and sophisticated fighting gadgets. To stop the evil going on in Gotham City, he has to fight off several different bad guys, such as the Joker and the Sand Man.

Dionysos
My parents went through a tough life trying to keep me safe. My mom living in the mortal world, had to face the consequences of being in love with an immortal. Unfortunately, she was burned to the crisp when she actually met her lover in person. Having such a powerful and smart fater, he was able to save me after my mom was killed. Even while having some hardships through out my life, it didn't stop me from having some fun. Everyone knew that I was the best at hosting parties and having the best drinks. If you wanted to have a good time, you knew where to be.

My father was Zeus, and my mother was a mortal named Semele. My father's wife Hera, discovered the affair with Semele and appearing as an old crone, Hera befriended Semele, who confided in her that Zeus was actually carrying me in her womb. Hera pretended not to believe her, and planted seeds of doubt in Semele's mind. Curious, Semele demanded of Zeus that he reveal himself in all his glory as proof of being an actual god. Though Zeus begged her not to ask this, she insisted and he agreed. Therefore he came to her wreathed in bolts of lightning. Being a mortal she could look upon an undisguised god without dying, and she burned to a crisp in the light. I was saved by Hermes and my father put me in his thigh and I was born out of him. My father sent me to the nymphs to be raised by them. I was taken into the valley by them. There I learned how to make wine.

Medusa and The Gorgons
In Greek Mytholgy, Medusa was a Gorgon, and a daughter of Phorcys and Ceto. She had two other sisters, Stheno and Euryale, who were also Gorgons. All three sisters were know to be unbelievably beautiful and turned to stone anyone stupid enough to look at them. In their beauty, they were covered in golden scales with hissing and writhing snakes for hair. Their sisters, the Graiae guarded their home from beyond the sea. In another version of mythology, the sitsters were know to be ugly. The reason for this is that Poseidon raped Medusa in Athena's temple. Athena was so outraged and instead of punishing Poseidon for his actions, she cursed all three sisters to their hideousness. In most versionso of the story, she was beheaded by the hero Perseus. In his conquest, he received a mirrored shield from Athena, winged sandals from Hermes, a sword, and Hades' cap of invisibility. Medusa was the only one of the three Gorgons who was mortal, so Perseus was able to slay her while looking at the reflection from the mirrored shield he received from Athena, who thereafter used her head as a weapon to place on her shield.

Roman gods
While I don't know much about mythology, I think it would be interesting to find out more about the Roman gods and which ones were the most popular. All I really know is that Athena is the goddess of wisdom and that Zeus is one of most famous gods. I think it would also be interesting to find out how people came up with names for the Roman gods.
